Movie: Brotherhood (2010)

The Story

College freshman Adam Buckley finds himself blindfolded in the back of a van dealing with the fact that he has to rob a convenience store as the final step of his initiation into the Sigma Zeta Chi fraternity. Minutes later he finds himself dealing with the fact that a fellow-pledge just got shot while doing it.

Frank, the senior fraternity brother in charge of the night’s events, is able to get the injured pledge out of the store alive, but the fraternity’s troubles are just beginning. Thinking they can get out of the situation without taking the pledge to a hospital, Frank decides the group will handle things themselves. But when every move is met with disaster, Adam must find it within himself to go against Frank and his new brothers in order to save his friend’s life.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free bird

If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?
For I must be traveling on, now
'Cause there's too many places
I've got to see

But, if I stayed here with you, girl
Things just couldn't be the same
'Cause I'm as free as a bird now
And this bird, you cannot change
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

And the bird you cannot change
And this bird you cannot change
Lord knows, I can't change
Bye, bye, baby it's been a sweet love

Yeah, yeah
Though this feeling I can't change
But please don't take it so badly
'Cause the Lord knows
I'm to blame

But, if I stayed here with you girl
Things just couldn't be the same
'Cause I'm as free as a bird now
And this bird, you cannot change
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

And this bird you cannot change
And this bird you cannot change
Lord knows, I can't change
Lord help me, I can't change
Lord I can't change

Won't you fly high, free bird, yeah?

Secret Life of Chaos

Symbiotic relationship between order and chaos...

Key People and Theories:

Alan Turing
Alan Mathison Turing, OBE, FRS (23 June 1912 – 7 June 1954), was an English mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst, and computer scientist. He was highly influential in the development of computer science, providing a formalisation of the concepts of "algorithm" and "computation" with the Turing machine, which played a significant role in the creation of the modern computer. Turing is widely considered to be the father of computer science and artificial intelligence.

During the Second World War, Turing worked for the Government Code and Cypher School at Bletchley Park, Britain's codebreaking centre. For a time he was head of Hut 8, the section responsible for German naval cryptanalysis. He devised a number of techniques for breaking German ciphers, including the method of the bombe, an electromechanical machine that could find settings for the Enigma machine. After the war he worked at the National Physical Laboratory, where he created one of the first designs for a stored-program computer, the ACE.

Towards the end of his life Turing became interested in mathematical biology. He wrote a paper on the chemical basis of morphogenesis, and he predicted oscillating chemical reactions such as the Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction, which were first observed in the 1960s.

Morphogenesis (from the Greek morphê shape and genesis creation, literally, "beginning of the shape"), is the biological process that causes an organism to develop its shape. It is one of three fundamental aspects of developmental biology along with the control of cell growth and cellular differentiation.

The Chemical Basis of Morphogenesis

Boris Belousov
Boris Pavlovich Belousov (19 February 1893, Moscow – 12 June 1970, Moscow) was a Soviet chemist / biophysicist who discovered the Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction (BZ reaction) in the early 50s. His work initiated the field of modern nonlinear chemical dynamics.

A Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction, or BZ reaction, is one of a class of reactions that serve as a classical example of non-equilibrium thermodynamics, resulting in the establishment of a nonlinear chemical oscillator. The only common element in these oscillating systems is the inclusion of bromine and an acid. The reactions are theoretically important in that they show that chemical reactions do not have to be dominated by equilibrium thermodynamic behavior. These reactions are far from equilibrium and remain so for a significant length of time. In this sense, they provide an interesting chemical model of nonequilibrium biological phenomena, and the mathematical models of the BZ reactions themselves are of theoretical interest.

Phenomenon known as Chaos
Chaos - a system describe my mathematical equations is more capable of being unpredictable without any outside interference.

Chaos theory is a field of study in mathematics, with applications in several disciplines including physics, economics, biology, and philosophy. Chaos theory studies the behavior of dynamical systems that are highly sensitive to initial conditions, an effect which is popularly referred to as the butterfly effect.

Edward Norton Lorenz (May 23, 1917 – April 16, 2008) was an American mathematician and meteorologist, and a pioneer of chaos theory. He discovered the strange attractor notion and coined the term butterfly effect.

The butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions; where a small change at one place in a nonlinear system can result in large differences to a later state. The effect derives its name from the theoretical example of a hurricane's formation being contingent on whether or not a distant butterfly had flapped its wings several weeks before.

Feedback describes the situation when output from (or information about the result of) an event or phenomenon in the past will influence an occurrence or occurrences of the same (i.e. same defined) event / phenomenon (or the continuation / development of the original phenomenon) in the present or future. When an event is part of a chain of cause-and-effect that forms a circuit or loop, then the event is said to "feed back" into itself.

Feedback loop - the causal path that leads from the initial generation of the feedback signal to the subsequent modification of the event

Benoît B. Mandelbrot (20 November 1924 – 14 October 2010) was a French American mathematician. Born in Poland, he moved to France with his family when he was a child. Mandelbrot spent much of his life living and working in the United States, and he acquired dual French and American citizenship.

Self-similarity
In mathematics, a self-similar object is exactly or approximately similar to a part of itself (i.e. the whole has the same shape as one or more of the parts). Many objects in the real world, such as coastlines, are statistically self-similar: parts of them show the same statistical properties at many scales. Self-similarity is a typical property of fractals.

A fractal is "a rough or fragmented geometric shape that can be split into parts, each of which is (at least approximately) a reduced-size copy of the whole," a property called self-similarity. Roots of the idea of fractals go back to the 17th century, while mathematically rigorous treatment of fractals can be traced back to functions studied by Karl Weierstrass, Georg Cantor and Felix Hausdorff a century later in studying functions that were continuous but not differentiable; however, the term fractal was coined by Benoît Mandelbrot in 1975 and was derived from the Latin fractus meaning "broken" or "fractured." A mathematical fractal is based on an equation that undergoes iteration, a form of feedback based on recursion. There are several examples of fractals, which are defined as portraying exact self-similarity, quasi self-similarity, or statistical self-similarity. While fractals are a mathematical construct, they are found in nature, which has led to their inclusion in artwork. They are useful in medicine, soil mechanics, seismology, and technical analysis.

The Thumbprint of God
The Mandelbrot set is a particular mathematical set of points, whose boundary generates a distinctive and easily recognisable two-dimensional fractal shape. The set is closely related to the Julia set (which generates similarly complex shapes), and is named after the mathematician Benoît Mandelbrot, who studied and popularized it.

More technically, the Mandelbrot set is the set of values of c in the complex plane for which the orbit of 0 under iteration of the complex quadratic polynomial zn+1 = zn2 + c remains bounded. That is, a complex number, c, is part of the Mandelbrot set if, when starting with z0 = 0 and applying the iteration repeatedly, the absolute value of zn never exceeds a certain number (that number depends on c) however large n gets.

Evolution (or more specifically biological or organic evolution) is the change over time in one or more inherited traits found in populations of individuals. Inherited traits are distinguishing characteristics, for example anatomical, biochemical or behavioral, that are passed on from one generation to the next. Evolution occurs when there is variation of inherited traits within a population over time. The major sources of such inherited variants are mutation, genetic recombination and gene flow. Evolution has led to the diversification of all living organisms from a common ancestor, which are described by Charles Darwin as "endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful".

Conspiracy: The Federal Reserve

The Federal Reserve System (also known as the Federal Reserve, and informally as the Fed) is the central banking system of the United States. It was created in 1913 with the enactment of the Federal Reserve Act, largely in response to a series of financial panics, particularly a severe panic in 1907.Over time, the roles and responsibilities of the Federal Reserve System have expanded and its structure has evolved.Events such as the Great Depression were major factors leading to changes in the system. Its duties today, according to official Federal Reserve documentation, are to conduct the nation's monetary policy, supervise and regulate banking institutions, maintain the stability of the financial system and provide financial services to depository institutions, the U.S. government, and foreign official institutions.

UST vs USC

I was studying Architecture in the University of Santo since 2003. I would want to believe that I am not incapable of graduating however circumstances kept me from doing it. Hence, I am now in front of a fork in the road between continuing my studies in Manila or in Cebu.

Location: Manila vs Cebu
1. Capital of the country as to Queen City of the South = Manila because it has more places to go to
2. Freedom from the parents as to Unlimited supply of food, accommodation and utilities = Cebu

Finances:
1. Living within parental perimeter has its perks.

Education: UST vs USC
1. I would say it is hassle-free to go back to UST.
2. But a change of scenery would be nice.

Plan:
1. Go back to UST
2. Study and graduate
3. Get a part-time venture to earn money

The Course in Mastery Day 30: Servant Leadership

The Course in Mastery Graduation Day! Wow! Standing ovation! A magnificent 30 days! The set of videos gave perspective to my life. I can't wait to live my best life and share it to everyone!

Tom Wood:
1. It is a rare and unique person that commits to improve themselves in a daily basis.
1.1 Gyms are filled with ghost members that never show up.
1.2 Libraries issue library cards to everybody but only 3% have gotten one.

2. Servant-leader
2.1 It is the purpose of the leaders to serve the people
2.2 Openly share the secrets of success

Take a Moment by Denis Waitely

Take a moment to listen today
to what your children are trying to say,
Listen to them, whatever you do
or they won't be there to listen to you.

Listen to their problems, listen to their needs
Praise their smallest triumphs, praise their littlest deeds;
Tolerate their chatter, amplify their laughter,
Find out what's the matter, find out what they're after.

If we tell our children all the bad in them we see,
They'll grow up exactly how we hoped they'd never be;
But if we tell our children we're so proud to wear their name,
They'll grow up believing that they're winners in the game.

So tell them that you love them every single night;
And though you scold them make sure you hold them
and tell them they're all right, "Good night, happy dreams,
Tomorrow's looking bright."

Take a moment to listen today to what
your children are trying to say
Listen to them whatever you do, and
They'll be there to listen to you.
---------------------------------------

Children learn what they live, and children live what they learn. I wouldn't give them things, I'll simply give them roots and wings. Greatest gift to children: Roots of core values, and wings of self-determination, wings to fly.

Roots
1. Self-awareness - Potential

Potential is greater than they could ever dream. There is more that they can do in this world than they imagine possible.
2. Self-esteem - Intrinsic Value
The non-material realization of spiritual value. I'm not the best looking in the group I just look my best in the group.
3. Self-honesty - Integrity
Walk the talk!
4. Self-determination - Responsibility
We don't take chances, we make choices, we live with the logical consequence in the reward of your choice. Personal responsibility is thinking before they decide to choose, to be able to live with the consequence of the reward of that choice.
5. Self-discipline - Positive
Doing within while you are without. If you have been there in the mind, you can go there in the body. Doing it over and over again.

Wings

1. Self-motivation - Desire
Motivation is an inner force that compels behavior. Desire instead of fear.
2. Self-imagination - Creativity
Only humans have the power of God given imagination. Imagination of the best that we could do.
3. Self-direction - Goals
A lot of people love the spot light, but the best thing to do is have laser focus, because laser takes all the light and focus it on an area that brings it to the top. If you don't know what you're going to do today it doesn't really matter if the alarm goes on. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.
4. Self-expectation - Optimism
Things you believe in are not proven fundamentally always, you can't see them but you believe them anyway
5. Self-dimension - Perspective
Looking beyond yourself for meaning.

Ugly Truths, Pretty Lies # 1

Women wants to hear you say it!
Ladies spend more time on the mirror before a date than the actual date itself. Not a fact, but its true. So give them a favor and appreciate every single thing that she did just to look nice for you. And if she doesn't look good, LIE...

They love the way we lie!
Observe...

You: "I like what you did with your hair"

Would work sometimes...

Dorkvader: Look like he saw Leia Amidala, "The hair is a filamentous biomaterial, that grows from follicles found in the dermis, but its so hard to explain how beautiful yours look tonight." The important thing is that you do not look like the creepy psycho-stalkerish but the irresistibly CUTE, think of Garth (Wayne's World) or Austin Powers.

And please don't wipe mucus out of your nose and/or use a dose inhaler in-front of her, even if it means your death because if you do, you are dead to her anyway. And she will never forget you, if you die in her arms...

Would work half of time.

Don Romantico: Notice the hair, look deep into her eyes and say, "A princess in a fairy-tale needs to wear a crown, but you only need your hair to look just like one". And pray she's smart enough to appreciate your metaphors. Women dig the fairy-tale vibe rekindling childhood fantasies. Up your game with classical mythology comparisons with the likes of Aphrodite or Helen of Troy . But if her reaction is a "Di nga?", or worse "Weh?", keep it par with her intellect and use artistas instead, an Angel Locsin or Anne Curtis will do just fine.

In theory, women love romance, however, there are dumb-ass chicks who can't differentiate making love in a bed of roses and fucking her brains out in the men's room.

Would work most of the time!

Mr. Mayabang-Funny Man: In a very funny way, exaggerate a compliment, "Your hair is so nice, you must have a salon next door!", but keep it cocky with, "I'll buy the whole salon and close it down to see if you can look as pretty as tonight!". If she starts to counter with her own yabang-statements but kept on laughing and/or punching and pinching you, oh boy, its on!

Never go for the Gay Route, "So girl, what contioner are you using? Aylavet!". It leaves you in the invisible line of the friends and the pathetic.

Would work all the time!!!

The Douchebag: "Nice but my grandma's hair was also black once". And just be yourself you lucky bastard! Think of "The Situation" on Jersey Shore. We all hate him because he is the biggest asshole MTV has to offer, but count how many televised cable-TV-appropriate make out sessions he has with several different women, if it was not acting, I would bet my entire fortune that he could fuck whoever he would want to.  (More on why the "Douchebags" always get the girl 100% of the time, but until then just take my word for it.)

In those stereotypes mentioned above, everything may or may not work out in totality.

"Women are aroused by what they hear. Men by what they see. So hide in your face with make up and listen to my bullshit." @ojayista

So always remember women want to hear things that make them FEEL GOOD about themselves, and when in doubt, notice only the things found from neck up and knees down, with that rule of thumb, unless you're a douche never say with your hands open, "Nice tits, may I?"

* Note to the public:
New blog segment inspired by the movie, The Ugly Truth. I just added "Pretty Lies" because of the irony and not from the TV series. The contents are my personal observations, opinions, and humor. If you don't agree, I may have to agree with you to when I wake up sober in the morning but I don't really give a flying fuck.

I should've used an alias as a precaution to haters, feminists and/or the self-righteous dicks but then I have to cut my balls off. Instead I incorporated comedy on my posts, so it would not appear too offensive and, yeah I know, it's not that funny either.

The Course in Mastery Day 29: The Power of Focus

The Power of Focus: Day 29 of a 30 day challenge designed to help you gain balance in your life. Tom Wood shares a powerful story about climbing Mount Fuji (Fuji-san) that taught him the importance and personal power you get through focus.

Tom Wood:
Excuse me! I am climbing the mountain!!!

Roy Lichtenstein House Optical Illusion

The Roy Lichtenstein House is located in the National Gallery of Art sculpture garden in Washington. It is an optical illusion and is based on designs by the late artist Roy Lichtenstein. For the best effect tilt the Google Earth view (click and hold mouse wheel and pull mouse towards you) until your eye level is at ground level then drag the view as though you are walking past the building. The building appears to rotate. For an even more confusing view download the model and open it in Sketchup. Do not zoom in. Simply rotate the model (click and hold mouse wheel and drag mouse sideways) or drag the model across the screen (Click and hold mouse wheel, press and hold shift, then drag mouse sideways.) The best way to see how the structure is really built is to look at it from directly above, then rotate it slowly one way or the other. You will see that it consists of two walls and half a roof only. Modelled by Peter Olsen, Brighton-le-Sands, Sydney, Australia.

Vermeer

Johannes, Jan or Johan Vermeer baptized in Delft on 31 October 1632 as Joannis, and buried in the same city under the name Jan on 15 December 1675) was a Dutch painter who specialized in exquisite, domestic interior scenes of middle class life. Vermeer was a moderately successful provincial genre painter in his lifetime. He seems never to have been particularly wealthy, leaving his wife and children in debt at his death, perhaps because he produced relatively few paintings.

De melkmeid
Ever since I have read the Frank McDonald novel Provenance, I have been obsessing to own an Old Master. The featured painting was a Vermeer, though named differently in the book I was pretty sure it was the above picture.

Power Suit

"Every man needs at least one suit that exudes power, prestige and classic refinement. The power suit is a vital component of any man’s wardrobe regardless of his profession because it serves as his modern-day suit of armor."
- Michael A. Lubarsky, an AskMen.com contributor and author of the novel Little Kingdoms.

Mine would be a taylor made black double-breasted jacket, dress shirt by Marks & Spencers and a bloody red tie.

Ojaean Art: Kabaw

The carabao (Kalabaw for Filipino and Kabaw for Cebuano) is a domesticated subspecies of the water buffalo found in the Philippines and various parts of Southeast Asia. Carabaos are associated with farmers, being the farm animal of choice for pulling both a plow and the cart used to haul produce to the market.

In order to give honor to Filipino farmers, I will make artworks with the carabao as the main feature.

This is my preliminary a sketch of "Kabaw".

Below is an unfinished watercolor painting. I hope to finish my "Kabaw" painting before 2011 ends. I am contemplating of making a 3D version either a sculpture or some other form of art to be added to my "Kabaw" collection as well.

The Course in Mastery Day 28: Evaluating Opportunities

Evaluating Opportunities: Day 28 of a 30 day challenge designed to help you gain balance in your life. Tom Wood and Jim Britt teach you specific strategies on evaluating financial opportunities as they present themselves throughout your life.

Tom Wood:

1. How to get ready?
1.1 What do you want?
Stop thinking that you need to find something that makes money, you can make money in anything. What you need to find is what you love to do.
1.2 How much time do I have?
You can start part-time or full-time but not sometime.
1.3 How much money do I have?
Don't start a $50,000 business if you only have $500.

2. Is this a good opportunity?
2.1 Is there residual income?
Will you be eventually able to walk away?
2.2 Has it been in business for a year?
The key in oportunities is timing.
2.3 Do you love it?
Find your passion
2.4 Does the business matter?
No business survives if it does not make a difference.

Jim Britt: http://www.jimbritt.com/about.htm
Vision becomes reality

Vision
1. Think of what you want?
2. Why do I want it?
3. Clarify why I want it?
4. Feeling is like a magnet that attracts

Reality
1. 2 emotions: Love and fear
2. Which do you honor the most, your stuff or your vision?

Would you date a porn star?

It was 10pm on a Saturday night, I got a couple cans of Guinness in the fridge and a collection World War II DVD's in my hand when suddenly a SMS from my friend reads, "Shat!". A few text messages later I found myself in a cab contemplating on which club we were hitting that night. I arrived at the agreed meeting place and saw most of my friends in shorts and tsinelas. I realized it will be a night of all male chatter and binge drinking.

The serious kwentuhan always comes after the usual blabber, jokes and kamustahan. Having pissed a few times until some of us cannot walk straight anymore, my friend posted the "Question of the Night":

Would you date a porn star?

Maria Ozawa, porn's finest
What he meant was date, date, not just fuck-date and having a relationship with an active porn star. Some of the thoughts were very enlightening. There was eight of us, three of whom are in relationships, five of us are single, mostly by choice, and one never had a girlfriend in his lifetime.

The results: eight out of eight would definitely fuck a porn star, and only one would actually date her. And you have guessed correct, it was our friend who never had a relationship.

Defending himself, "Most of you guys have been cheated by your ex-girlfriends, they fucked around behind your back, what difference does it make if they did it in front of you?"

"It's different man, there was a point in time that we loved each other, treat them like princesses, fuck them like porn stars once in awhile but how could you ever treat a porn star like a princess, more so love her? You just want consensual sex, pay for lay has its downside doesn't it?", fired back Mr. Relationship guy.

On a very objective view, I told them that seeing so many failed relationships, making it work with a porn star would be very difficult. Other essentials of a good relationship besides sex, like communication would be very hard to pull of. If you would ask her how her day was, and she told you how sore she was from a 12-man orgy, how on earth could you react to that?!

You Girlfriend
At one point you have to go out of the bedroom, have dinner or whatnot, then your porn star girlfriend was binastos by assholes, obviously you have to confront them. But can you really blame them? They saw more than her naked body! Let's say you could kick their ass in 17 different ways. Then your mother comes along and does the same. It would just be really hard and it must be true love if you can put up with that every single fucking time you go out.

I have nothing against actresses in the porn industry. I admire their work at least a couple times a week in the comfort of my own room, in front of my laptop with tissue paper beside me (lube optional). Though I might consider dating one if she only did girl-on-girl and if she brings back that co-worker for some three-way action. But thinking it over twice, dating a porn star would still be a big burden to my sanity.

University of Phoenix Stadium

University of Phoenix Stadium, opened August 1, 2006, is a multipurpose football stadium located in Glendale, Arizona. The stadium is located next door to the Jobing.com Arena, where the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes play, and it features the first fully retractable natural grass playing surface built in the United States on top of an AirField Systems drainage system. An opening on one side of the stadium allows the playing field to move to the exterior of the building, allowing the entire natural turf playing surface to be exposed to daylight.

New York based architect Peter Eisenman teamed with stadium designer HOK Sport + Venue + Event of Kansas City. The design-build project was headed by Hunt Construction Group (Phoenix, AZ). Walter P Moore (Houston, TX) is the engineer-of-record for the 500,000 square foot retractable, structural steel roof, while TLCP (Phoenix, AZ) is engineer-of-record for the cast-in-place concrete seating bowl structure. The mechanization components for the retractable section of the roof were designed and installed by Uni-Systems, L.L.C. (Minneapolis, MN) and the structural steel fabricator for the roof and operable field was Schuff Steel (Phoenix, AZ).

Retractable Roof
The signature element of the roof structure is the pair of Brunel trusses, named after British engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, whose Royal Albert Bridge is the archetype of the form used for this stadium. The two 87-foot deep Brunel trusses are spaced at 256 feet, and span approximately 700 feet along the east and west sidelines between the concrete supercolumns. They are the primary support elements of the roof. They support the secondary trusses, which span to the perimeter of the structure, and the fixed trusses, which span between the Brunel trusses at the north and south ends of the stadium. The retractable roof panels, which ride on a rail centered on the top of the Brunel trusses, cover the center opening in the roof which is 360 feet long and 240 feet wide. When the panels are open, the entire field to the back of the end zones is exposed. The two retractable roof panels measure 180 feet long by 270 feet wide and are constructed with 8 lenticular, vierendeel-style trusses composed of square and rectangular hollow structural sections (HSS).

Brunel Truss
The roof is made out of translucent "Bird-Air" fabric and opens in twelve minutes. It is the first retractable roof ever built on an incline. It also uses more than 93,000 square feet of highly translucent PTFE architectural fabric membrane. It has an open, airy feel, even when the roof is closed. PTFE-coated high translucency fabric membrane is a dynamic tensile material unmatched for its aesthetics and durability, making it ideal for Birdair tensile architecture systems. Structurally, PTFE fiberglass high translucency fabric membrane is waterproof, resists UV rays and is chemically inert. As a result, it is exceptionally stain resistant and easy to clean.

Fabric Roof Panels

Movable Field

The field is like a massive pan with the drainage system, sprinkler system, sand and dirt which grows grass that wieghs about 17 million pounds. In order to move it the design solution was to provide rail road tracks over a thousand feet long. It is supported by 542 steel wheels of different sizes guided by 13 rails embedded in the concrete facility floor drive by 75 motors totalling 76 horse power moving 250 yards that takes over an hour to complete.

Coiled Snake
Like a chameleon it changes colors as the sun moves in the desert sky. The building features alternating sections of shimmering metal panels intended to reflect the shifting desert light alongside magnificent vertical glass slots allowing patrons a spectacular view of the horizon from any level of the exterior resembling a coiled snake. About 8,000 of flat rectangle panels cut and hung to create the illusion of smooth curve.

Barrel Cactus
Splitting the building vertically make it also look like the Arizona native barrel cactus. In adition, by pulling the facade open installing glass panels the building lets light in up to its middle. There are 1,041 panels of glass that form the slots. Each panel weighs not less than a thousand pounds, to lift it they used mini cranes with huge suction cups.

Fans
Precast concrete was use as base for 60,000 Cardinal comfy chairs.

The stadium is considered an architectural icon for the region and was named by Business Week as one of the 10 “most impressive” sports facilities on the globe. The cost of the project was $455 million. That total included $395.4 million for the stadium, $41.7 million for site improvements, and $17.8 million for the land. Contributors to the stadium included the Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority ($302.3 million), the Arizona Cardinals ($143.2 million), and the City of Glendale ($9.5 million).

But for the casual fan, this is the Home of the Cardinals.

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind

T. Harv Eker’s best selling book on the secrets of the millionaire mind is summarized for MasteryTV in a 15 minute video and a 1 hour and 30 minute seminar. The 90 minute seminar will change your life if you let it.

My notes on the seminar:

Thoughts - Feelings - Actions = Results

Money Blueprint
1. Verbal Programming
2. Modelling
3. Specific Incidents

What I focus on, expands

*7 days of no complaining

Secret:
There's no such thing as a really rich victim

I create the exact level of my financial success

Play to win vs Not to lose

*Create a strategy to help 10 times as many people

Solve problems to get paid.

How do I help more people?

My goal is to become a multi-millionaire and more!!! And nothing less will do!

What you settle for is what you get! Your life right now is exactly what you settle for...

Both vs Either or

I can be kind, gentle and loving and still really, really rich!!!

Admire and Model vs Resent rich and successful people

Practice admiring rich people

Blessed that what you want

Everything that you negate, you can never have!

I admire rich people! I bless rich people! I love rich people! I study rich people! And I will be a rich people too!

Why be rich?
1. Lifestyle
2. Contribution
3. "Who" become

Bigger than their problems vs smaller than their problems

Not get rid of the problem but grow yourself so you are bigger than any problem. Its not the size of the problem its the size of you!

You're money is the same level as you are.

Chinese bamboo plant

You keep on growing. Being comfortable and stagnant kills you.

Reasons or results? You cannot have both!

Declaration:
I am bigger than any problem! I can handle any problem! Nothing can stop me from creating love!

Thoughts - Feelings - Actions = Results

Actions becomes the bridge to the real world from the inner world. Actions are absolutely critical.

Act inspite of fear! Tame the cobra of fear!

We are creatures of habit. Its not always convenient to become rich.

Find uncomfortable situations. Look for uncomfortable situations and take action. The only time you're growing if you're uncomfortable.

You are the person who can't be stopped or the person who can be stopped. Train yourself to not be stopped because its easy to be stopped. Most of us are unstoppable at one point but day 2 of our lives happened.

If its not going to kill you physically, do it! You are going to be so much better in the end than waiting for the "exact moment in time". And when is that "exact moment in time"? Is when you are comfortable.

Declaration:
Act inspite of fear! Act inspite of doubt! Act inspite of worry!  Act inspite of inconvenience!  Act inspite of discomfort!  Act inspite of anything!

It is easier than you think its going to be. Training and managing your own mind is the most important skill a human being could ever own!

Learn and grow vs already know. You can learn to do anything, you can learn to succeed. Every master was once a disaster...

You will soar to a level that you have never experience in your life!

Located at the crossroads of Western Asia and Eastern Europe, it is bounded by the Caspian Sea to the east, Russia to the north, Georgia to the northwest, Armenia to the west, and Iran to the south. The exclave of Nakhchivan is bounded by Armenia to the north and east, Iran to the south and west, while having a short borderline with Turkey to the northwest.

Architectural Feature
The Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center is a cultural complex currently being constructed in Baku, Azerbaijan. The complex is designed by renowned Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and will include a 21,000sq m conference hall rising to a height of 22m, a museum, library and sculpted parkland. The 9ha project is held up by the government as a project of national importance ahead of Baku’s bid for the 2016 Olympics.

Exterior Perspective
The Cultural Center will house a conference hall with 3 auditoriums, a library and a museum. This ambitious project will play an integral role in the intellectual life of the city. Located close to the city center, the site will play a pivotal role in the redevelopment of Baku. The site neighbouring the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center is designated for residential, offices, a hotel and commercial center, whilst the land between the Cultural Center and the city’s main thoroughfare will become the Cultural Plaza – an outdoor piazza for the Cultural Center as well as a welcoming space for the visitors.

Plans and Elevations
The proposal for the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center envisions a fluid form which emerges by the folding of the landscape’s natural topography and by the wrapping of individual functions of the Center. All functions of the Center, together with entrances, are represented by folds in a single continuous surface. This fluid form gives an opportunity to connect the various cultural spaces whilst, at the same time, providing each element of the Center with its own identity and privacy. As it folds inside, the skin erodes away to become an element of the interior landscape of the Cultural Center.

Travel
A passport and visa are required. Travelers should obtain single-entry visas by mail or in person from any Azerbaijani embassy offering consular services.

According to http://azerbaijan.visahq.ph/
IMPORTANT: Unfortunately, at this time, VisaHQ does not provide full service for tourist visas to Azerbaijan. All applicants must apply in person at the nearest Embassy of Azerbaijan. Information below is for reference purposes only. Please address all questions to the Embassy of Azerbaijan directly.

Since there are no Embassy located here in the Philippines, I should go to the nearest which would be in Beijing.

I plan to travel to Baku before 2020.

The Manila Cigar

Tabacalera is the Philippines' oldest and most popular brand. This is the flagship brand of La Flor de La Isabela. Tabacalera is credited as the brand that made Philippine cigars world-famous, and represents close to three hundred years of cigar production. Tabacalera is noted for its mild, sweet, and very slightly spicy taste that has for so many years defined the "Manila Cigar."

very unique flavour, stays mild from start to finish with no bitterness
a good day-time cigar

Aroma

Aftertaste

with a subtle taste of grass and wood

Wrapper
Java, Indonesia (very popular, used in some of the best cigars)

Binder
Philippines

Review:
I have started to enjoy mundane luxuries like the cigar in my early 20's. And since I have just started to accumulate wealth I tried to look for cheaper luxury goods. What I found out is that many Philippine made products are of international standard quality. So always look for local favorites first. One of which is the Tabacalera.

For less than $5 this cigar has adequate mild flavor. Hints of wood as promised, a good draw and consistent burn. I would recommend this to a first time Filipino cigar aficionado.

Danaë by Titian

The Danaë series (sometimes known as Danaë and the Shower of Gold) comprises at least five oil-on-canvas paintings by the Venetian master Titian, completed between 1553 and 1556. The works are based on the mythological figure of Danaë. According to Ovid she was isolated in a dungeon following a prophecy that her firstborn son would eventually kill her father. Although aware of the consequences, Danaë was seduced and became pregnant by Zeus (in Roman mythology Jupiter), who, descending from Mount Olympus, enticed her as a shower of gold.

Danaë with Eros, 1544. This painting shows the youthful figure of Eros alongside Danaë. 120 cm × 172 cm. National Museum of Capodimonte, Naples

Danaë with Nursemaid, 1553–1554. Here, an ageing nursemaid has replaced Eros, while the cloth covering Danaë's upper thigh is absent, leaving her naked. 129 cm × 180 cm. Museo del Prado, Madrid

Titian, 1553-1554, Hermitage Museum, Saint Petersburg. Here the figures are closer together, but the dog is absent.

Titian and workshop, 1564. Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna. That there was large input from Titian's workshop is revealed by the heavier treatment of Danaë's skin-tone and body as well as the hanging drapery. Here a pink flower replaces the dog of the Madrid painting.
