Ojaean Art: Kabaw

The carabao (Kalabaw for Filipino and Kabaw for Cebuano) is a domesticated subspecies of the water buffalo found in the Philippines and various parts of Southeast Asia. Carabaos are associated with farmers, being the farm animal of choice for pulling both a plow and the cart used to haul produce to the market.

In order to give honor to Filipino farmers, I will make artworks with the carabao as the main feature.

This is my preliminary a sketch of "Kabaw".

Below is an unfinished watercolor painting. I hope to finish my "Kabaw" painting before 2011 ends. I am contemplating of making a 3D version either a sculpture or some other form of art to be added to my "Kabaw" collection as well.
